We're looking for a System Architect to take full ownership of Microsoft Exchange On-Premise infrastructure for a prominent international organisation based in Brussels. This is a hands-on, senior-level role where you'll manage live environments, lead upgrade activities, and drive automation — all within a structured hybrid setup.

 

What professional skills are important for us?

— Minimum 12 years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering or a related field.

— In-depth, hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Exchange On-Premise (2012/2013/2019).

— Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation — you script what can be scripted.

— Solid experience planning and executing Exchange Server upgrades in production environments.

— Proven ability to manage operational support, including incident investigation and resolution.

— Familiarity with file migration processes, ideally involving OpenText or similar solutions.

— Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.

 

Tasks:

— Manage and maintain Microsoft Exchange On-Premise environments, keeping them patched and stable.

— Develop and execute PowerShell scripts to automate operational tasks.

— Plan and lead Exchange upgrade activities from design through execution.

— Participate in file migration from Windows Server environments to OpenText solutions.

— Investigate, diagnose, and resolve incidents related to Windows and Microsoft infrastructure.

— Provide subject matter expertise on Exchange Server and Terminal Server environments.

— Cover operational support duties including early shifts, late shifts, and on-call rotations when required.
