We’re currently looking for a Senior Software Test Engineer to join a high-impact institutional project based in Strasbourg.

 

 

What professional skills are important for us?

 

— Minimum 6 years of relevant IT professional experience;

— Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in both automated and manual software testing;

— Strong expertise with software testing tools such as QTest, TOSCA, Selenium, Xray, QC, and Jira;

— Good knowledge of infrastructure, networking, and related testing environments;

— Strong understanding of software development life cycle and testing methodologies;

— Very good English writing and documentation skills;

— Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science.

 

— Experience with:

• Stress testing tools (e.g. JMeter)

• Code quality tools (e.g. SonarQube)

• Test execution monitoring tools (e.g. Splunk)

• Automation testing frameworks

• Test management and defect tracking systems

 

Tasks:

— Perform comprehensive testing of institutional software applications;

— Review project deliverables and test deliverables according to internal quality standards and guidelines;

— Improve overall test management quality and governance;

— Propose enhancements to testing methodologies, tools, and test management processes;

— Support implementation and optimization of automated and manual testing strategies;

— Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality standards are integrated throughout the software lifecycle;

— Monitor testing performance, identify risks, and ensure timely reporting;

— Contribute to documentation, reporting, and continuous process improvements.

 

Conditions:

— Duration: 12 months freelance contract, with possible extensions

— Work setup: Hybrid (80% on-site / 20% off-site or 50% on-site / 50% off-site)

— Location: Strasbourg, France;

— EU member state citizenship is mandatory;
