We’re looking for an experienced HR Generalist / HR Advisor to take full ownership of the HR function at a growing international manufacturing site in the metal & engineering industry.

 

This is a high-impact standalone role offering the opportunity to shape HR operations, influence leadership, and support both strategic and operational business goals. The company is expanding rapidly across Europe, making this an excellent moment to join and make a tangible difference.

 

Team:

You’ll work closely with site leadership, production managers, office employees, and international HR stakeholders. This role serves as the key HR contact on-site, balancing daily operational HR responsibilities with strategic advisory support to management.

 

What professional skills are important for us?

— 5+ years of experience in an independent HR Generalist, HR Advisor, or HRBP role;

— Strong experience managing end-to-end HR operations across both blue-collar and white-collar populations;

— Solid expertise in HR administration and payroll coordination, including time tracking, shifts, overtime, absences, leave, and allowances;

— Strong knowledge of Dutch labor law and HR compliance standards;

— Experience within manufacturing, production, or operational environments is highly preferred;

— Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, challenge, and support leadership teams;

— Structured, hands-on, and solution-oriented working style;

— Fluent Dutch and English communication skills are essential;

— Comfortable working with HR systems and Microsoft Office;

— Candidates must already be based in the Netherlands, hold a Dutch passport;

 

Tasks:

— Manage full-cycle HR processes for production and office employees, including onboarding, contract changes, offboarding, and employee support;

— Oversee HR administration and payroll coordination with external providers;

— Monitor and manage workforce data including hours, shifts, overtime, absences, leave, and benefits administration;

— Act as trusted HR advisor to site management on performance management, absenteeism, employee relations, workforce planning, and organizational challenges;

— Support difficult conversations, team dynamics, and leadership decision-making;

— Deliver HR reporting on absenteeism, turnover, FTE, and personnel costs;

— Coordinate with external partners such as payroll providers, occupational health services, insurance companies, and staffing agencies;

— Ensure compliance with Dutch labor law, internal HR policies, and international group standards;

— Coordinate recruitment efforts for production staff and specialist positions;

—Contribute to broader HR initiatives including internal communication, leadership development, and process improvements;
