Hello everyone!

Our partner, the company with headquarters in Finland and the US, is seeking a seasoned Head of Development to lead our dynamic technology team.

About the company: We are working on a new product that needs to be developed: An analytical platform that allows both private clients and retail customers based on big data, pricing, and marketing.

Team: 8-9 people in direct reporting. The team consists of 20 people.

Tech Stack: Vue, Rust, TypeScript, NodeJS, Apollo Server, Express, Python, and Jupyter, Docker.

What professional skills are important for us?
- Proven experience in building scalable analytical platforms and enterprise solutions.
- Strong proficiency in our technology stack, especially Vue, Rust, TypeScript, NodeJS, Apollo Server, Express, Python, and Jupyter.
- Solid experience with microk8s and Docker for cluster deployment. - Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of leading and growing strong development teams.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to think strategically and act tactically.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

- Lead and mentor a team of developers, ensuring high-quality code, adherence to best practices, and timely delivery of projects.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of our technology stack, including but not limited to Vue 2.7 (with a future transition to Vue 3), Rust for our analytical server, and our new API built with TypeScript, NodeJS 18, Apollo Server, and Express.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and improvements.
- Drive the architecture and design of scalable analytical platforms and enterprise solutions.
- Ensure the seamless operation of our microservices, primarily developed in Python and Jupyter.
- Oversee the deployment of our cluster using microk8s and Docker.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices to ensure our technology remains cutting-edge.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, to ensure alignment and meet business objectives.
