The study of Economics would not be complete without the inclusion of events from the real world.  Being a keen observer of these events will help you relate theory to practice.  You will be required to research various media (newspapers, magazines, television, etc.) and briefly present your findings with the following requirements:

 

 

Besides the article title, ensure your summary contains your opinion as to its economic significance, e.g. “Dodge is merely trying to stem a possible recession”.

 

The expectation is a short oral presentation, but the use of overheads, posters or other visual aids are also acceptable.  We will do two per day.  Volunteers always welcome to go first!  Good luck.

 

Evaluation:

 

4 marks      Thinking\Inquiry - quality of articles & attempt at analysis

3 marks      Communication - spoken/demonstrated in a clear manner with authority and enthusiasm
